The Switzerland-Morocco Foundation for Sustainable Development (SMFD) has been recognised as a non-profit public service provider by the Finance Department of the Canton of Geneva.

The provenance of the financial resources is numerous:

  • Contribution of the founders or third persons
  • Donations, legacies
  • State and public institutions subsidies
  • Assets income of the foundation
  • Incomes from the foundation's publications

The Switzerland-Morocco Foundation for Sustainable Development is under the authority of the Federal Department of Home Affairs, the Swiss Federal Supervisory Board for Foundations located in Bern. All the projects that are supported or realised by our non-profit and Non Governmental Organization (NGO) are drawn up according to precise and rigorous requirements. SMFD partners are acting locally and internationally. They are well-known and respected for their ethic and deontology.


You feel concerned about our objectives and philosophy ? You can register as an SMFD supporting Member or as an SMFD donor Member. You also have the possibility to select specific areas: economy, ecology, social welfare, culture or sports. It is one of our objectives to promote interactions between different entities and we encourage all kinds of collaboration.

You can also contribute to the SMFD action with the help of donations. SMFD bank details are the following:
